Each month here at Tower Road we explore a different country that our residents choose to learn about. Since it is too difficult to go out to travel the World, we bring the World to our residents! As we slowly cover the world, June is Destination: Ireland! We had fun discovering Irish food (made by our cooking club), history, arts and crafts, stories and tall-tales during story time, jewelry crafting, learning a wee bit of the language, and Irish trivia.
Our residents are ready and raring to go on a Virtual Road Trip this Summer! We are packing our bags and planning the first leg of our tour of State Parks. We will start exploring this week on our first Virtual State Park: Smokey Mountains National Park!

We are packing our bags and getting ready to explore our National State Parks this Summer here at Tower Road! As a part of our virtual summer tour of State Parks, our residents are: making our custom license plates, designing our vehicles, deciding what to pack for the trip, picking a theme song and rewriting the lyrics, choosing who to take along and for some…. getting ready for their very FIRST Virtual Road Trip!
We would love for everyone to share their experiences if you see a State Park over the next two months that you have visited in the past!
Signature Activities would like to take a moment this Memorial Day to thank every resident and Stakeholder who have served in our Armed Forces in dedication to our Country!!! Certificates were given to each resident who served in our: Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Marines over the years. We salute you and Thank You for your sacrifices you have made in honor of our great Country!
Activities hosted a High Tea event for our Ladies Club. Our theme was Fancy Hats, Pearls & Tea. Our ladies got very creative with their hats! We had a very Fun, Festive & Fancy party for all who attended.
They enjoyed a variety of: salads, deviled eggs, chicken meatballs, veggie quiché, spinach cheese ravioli, candies, coffeecake rings, chocolate cake, streusel, pastries and of course over a dozen varieties of flavorful gourmet teas!
Our residents received a Mary Kaye Gift bag full of things to pamper them after the event!
It was a wonderful way for our Ladies to have a high-quality, fun & festive event. We are honored to have the privilege to serve them and help make their “Home away from home” stay a little more memorable.
This week residents made Thermoses in preparation for all of our outdoor activities we have planned for the Summer months. They are very creative and each Thermos creation is unique, just like our residents!
Residents began their monthly cultural travels around the world beginning this month with Destination: Italy! One week each month is dedicated to exploring a new country!
Signature Tower Road celebrated Nursing Home Week with lots of activities for both Residents and Stakeholders. We ended the week with our residents putting on a Mystery Theatre “Who Done It” style play. The cast and crew of our play shared a laugh guessing which actor was the guilty party as they sampled Louisiana Style Bread Pudding made by our Cooking Club.

Signature Tower Road celebrates Nursing Home Week. They kicked off the event with a Stakeholder Cookout. Later this week they will have a Resident mystery play, Arts and Crafts, Ice Cream Social, Gardening Groups, Courtyard Fun, Games Galore, Sunshine clubs and the beginning of our Summer Educational Tour of Countries around the World! Come join us at Tower Road… it’s the place to be!
Aloha! Residents at Signature Tower Road enjoyed a musical getaway with a Beach Themed “Staycation” right at home. They transformed Tower Road into a beautiful Oasis of music. They relaxed Island Style with live entertainment after a quick Hula Lesson. Everyone really enjoyed dancing to the music or simply singing along.
