Our Summer road trip made a pit stop leaving Yellowstone park this week. On our way to Pictured Rock, we stopped in at the Paradise Saloon in Dry Gulch. The Wild West town will never be the same after our Mystery Play! The residents had a rootin’-tootin” time at the home of this month’s mystery play, the Paradise Saloon.
Can YOU guess who shot the Sheriff? Was it Sally, the school marm, who was previously engaged to him. (They say nothing is more dangerous than a woman scorned!) Or the mail order bride who found out her hubby wasn’t rich like he told her…(maybe she was just a gold digger in disguise), or perhaps it was the Paradise Saloon owner herself – (they say red heads have a real temper!). Could it be the Doc, who was rumored to be replaced very soon in town? The local gambler and womanizer was looking pretty shady. (has his cheating ways finally caught up to him?!)
If you would like to mosey on over to Tower Road… come visit us for our monthly mystery plays complete with food by our Cooking Club, enjoy the decorations and scenery courtesy of our decorating committee and make sure not to miss our All Star resident cast. The Wild West just got a lot Wilder, thanks to our Fun Cast!
This week’s virtual Road Trip had us visiting the Grand Canyon National Park. Residents had a blast painting rocks that will be used in our flower and Herb garden at the facility, as well as an educational presentation from the Activities Director who has visited the Park. A question/answer session was followed with many pictures passed around that were taken while she was at the park. Later in the week, we took a virtual tour of the park.
Along the way, we stopped by the Tower Of Power Casino in Fabulous Las Vegas for an afternoon of fun and frolicking with one of our residents dealing Poker while Activities hosted the Blackjack and Roulette tables. The Casino pit stop ended with a 5-star Italian style buffet. The Grand Canyon was a site to behold, and we enjoyed it to the fullest! Tune in July 13th to see where our next destination will take us!
Ante Up everyone!!! Our virtual Summer Road Trip stopped at a “casino” on their way to explore the Grand Canyon National parks this week in Activities. We had one of our very own residents dealing poker, while activities hosted Blackjack and Roulette. Our Big money winner was a resident that had never been to a casino before, guess the beginner’s luck held true this week. All the residents had a blast at our own little “Tower Of Power Casino.” It’s a safe bet we will be visiting the Tower Of Power Casino again very soon!
We traveled virtually to the Great Rocky Mountains Park this past week in Activities. We took a virtual tour of the park and participated in many exciting adventures along the way! Here are just a few of the mountain arts and crafts we enjoyed, as well as our adventure fuel questions that were answered to get our imagination fueled for our weekly road trip.
Happy Summer everyone! Our residents are in week 5 of their virtual road trip of National State Parks. This week they traveled virtually to the Great Rocky Mountains National Park. They answered many thought-provoking questions to fuel their creativity and add a little adventure to their week.
They also wrote and designed a postcard to family and friends, as well as making some colorful mountain art along the way. Check out all of their creativity!
Our residents are traveling to our National State Parks on a Summer Virtual Road Trip! Last week it was the Great Smokey Mountains, now we are heading to Everglades National Park in Florida!
Just look at all we have been up to in the Great Smoky Mountains this week! We took a virtual tour of the great Smokies and participated in LOTS of fun activities while we were there!
